San Diego Beach Wedding Photography at Coronado Beach

Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing a great little intimate beach wedding at Coronado Beach, just South of the Hotel Del Coronado. Kyler and Cory are from Henderson Nevada and wanted a nice, small beach wedding here in San Diego. With a small group of their family and closest friends in attendance we were able to find a small space right along the water to have a nice simple wedding ceremony.

San Diego Maternity Photography

Professional maternity photography is something that we’ve been doing for a number of years. But while studio maternity photography is such a beautiful art, rarely do we get asked to shoot maternity photos at the beach. But once in awhile comes along a couple who not only wants their maternity photos done at the beach…they’re also willing to get a little wet! Enter Michael and Danielle…

A perfectly overcast morning quickly broke into beautiful blue skies down at Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach. Not only did we have direct sun to contend with, but there was so much kelp washed up on the beach that there were actually earth movers and dump trucks taking it away.

Somehow we managed to dodge all of the distractions and still come away with some beautiful maternity photos. Here are a few quick favorites:

A Marriage Proposal at Coronado Beach

Romance was in the air tonight at Coronado Beach. I was contacted by Matt so that I could photograph him proposing to Erica during their visit to San Diego (they are from Pennsylvania). What better place to propose to the love of your life than at the beach? And what better way to remember the special occasion than with beautiful photographs…?

Erica was under the impression that we were “just” doing a photo shoot. So things started out pretty ho hum.

Then, through a variety of hand signals and jestures behind Erica’s back, Matt is able to convey to me just where he wants to propose, with the beautiful Hotel Del Coronado in the background.

After a few words, Matt goes for the ring:

After saying “yes”, Erica admires her beautiful new ring:
