The photos from the previous post were taken on Sunday. By Thursday of the following week Bailey had lost all feeling and control of both rear legs and was unable to stand. On Friday morning we took him to the emergency vet clinic and at approximately 10:30am Baliey died in our arms.
It was one of the most difficult things we have ever done, and I can’t remember the last time I cried so hard.
It was so very hard to lose him, but we feel so much better knowing that we did get these last few photographs with him. This is why we do what we do – photographs preserve memories in such a very special way. Our photo with Bailey will soon be framed and hung over our fireplace, along with a box containing his ashes.
Good bye old friend.
