Rosecrans National Military Cemetery Memorial Day 2008

Every year I visit Rosecrans National Military Cemetery on the day after Memorial Day. I get there just after sunrise and wander around the cemetery shooting photos for about 2-3 hours.

On Friday the Boy Scouts come out and put a US flag at each and every one of the over 90,000 graves. It's an amazing site, and since they don't take them down until later on Tuesday morning, I literally have the whole place to myself for a couple of hours.

Remembering...

While we are enjoying our families and our freedoms on this Memorial Day Weekend, let us not forgot the brave men and women who enabled us to have these freedoms. Thank you to everyone who has sacrificed their lives for this country, and to those who are currently spending time away from their families to protect our freedom.

HS Senior Portraits at the Hotel Del Coronado and Beach

Tonight I had a senior photo shoot at the Hotel Del Coronado. We spent a good deal of time in the courtyard, then moved out to the stairs and then of course out to the beach.

Here are some sample photos from tonight's photo shoot.

We started off with the letterman jacket and some sports shots.



Then over to the gazebo.



Next we change from casual photos to a beautiful yellow dress on the beach:

Family portraits at Presidio Park in San Diego

Last night I had the privilege of photographing this beautiful couple at the gorgeous Presidio Park in San Diego. The weather was perfect, and we had the whole place to ourselves. We got a ton of great photos, here are some samples from the photo shoot.

We started with some formal portraits down at Palm Canyon:





Then it was up to the top of the hill to the main area of Presidio Park:

Themed photo shoots - Marines, Navy and Fireman

Today we met with three families who wanted themed photo sessions. The first was a family with a young girl whose Daddy is in the Marines:

Spent some time in Hawaii this week...
